Grammar I'll amit that I am not perfect when it comes to grammar and spelling (as you've seen on my site..English is, in fact, one of my weakest subjects), but a lot of people are just terrible. I sometimes get e-mail from random people about my site that use "u" in replace of "you," "ur" in replace of "your" and "you're," "luv" instead of "love," relplace c's with k's in words like "krazy," put z's on the end of everyword, like "gamerz," "gurlz," etc., and the list goes on and on. If you have e-mailed me and you've done the things mentioned above, then that's why I didn't reply to you. (Just kidding. I always try to respond to all e-mails, but I really hate it when people do this kind of stuff, and I'm to the point of ignoring people completely when they send me e-mails like this.) And I just hate it when people put no periods or paragraphs in their e-mails. That's really hard to read, you know. But as suggested by that dumbass Mike who e-mailed me about 2 years ago, if you are e-mailing someone it's "only a letter" and it doesn't matter if you use proper grammar. I wonder what the hell his English grade was. And I have other people e-mail me that seem to have the grammar skills of a 2-year-old, and when I respond to them saying that they really need to use some proper grammar, they usually respond, "but it takes too long to type!" I wonder what the hell these people's words per minute in typing is. How long does it take to type in "you" "your" or a period at the end of a sentence? Even if you can type about...let's say...20 words per minute (which is very slow), it still wouldn't take too long to put a period at the end of a sentence. I still don't understand, however, why people replace c's with k's and add on z's on every word and replace vowels on words. It's not kewl! Or kute! It's stoopid! Spell stuff write! It's okay to do it on random words from time to time, like I sometimes put "laterz" on the end of e-mails and stuff, and my e-mail address is gurlgamer54@hotmail.com (I've tried girlgamer(random number), but I could never get it to work..I'd love to see you try to get a normal e-mail address at hotmail), but it just looks retarded when people send whole e-mails or IMs full of it. It's like they don't know any proper grammar at all, and it just makes them look like they're 2-years-old. Another thing too..."a lot" isn't supposed to be one word! It isn't "alot!" "Your" is possessive and "you're" is "you are." "Their" is possessive, "they're" is "they are," and "there" is used to describe where something is, for example, you can say, "it's over there." Speaking of "it's," "its" is possessive, and "it's" is "it is." I think we've all learned that stuff when we were in grade school. Please, when you e-mail or IM someone, show just the tinyest bit of intelligence, please? |
