Metal Gear Solid

I really don't see what the big deal is about these games. I hear a lot of gamers talk about the Metal Gear Solid games as if they were the greatest games ever made. But, honestly, I don't think they are as great as everyone says. Maybe I'm just weird, or maybe I'm normal and eveyone else is weird (yeah, that's it =^_^=), but from what I've seen, Metal Gear Solid isn't really as great as some hardcore fans say.

I hear a lot of people talking about these games like crazy, and one day I saw a used copy of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for about $15, so I thought, "Oh, what the hell?" So I bought it. It took me about 3 hours to beat it, and that was with about 2 1/2 hours of talking throughout the game. That was in the very easy mode, it actually took me twice as long to beat it on extreme, but that was because I had stealth and I was punching too many enemys in the head. It's funny if you have stealth; they can't see you =^_^=. At the time I bought this game, the only other PS2 games that I had were FF10, which I've beaten about 2 times, and this really sucky game called Orphen, Scion of Sorcery (but that's another story), so Metal Gear Solid 2 was a good game to play since I had nothing else to play.

On rare times when I am in Yahoo chat rooms talking about games with other gamers, I hear a lot of fans say "OMFG! Metal Gear Solid is awsome!" But when I say something like, "Well, it was okay..." I get an IM from someone with the screen name "solid_snake" saying "ur so fu*king stupid u know nothing about games u stupid bitch." I don't really take these replies seriously because 1) it's only a game, and 2) they have worse grammar than I do.

I receive some critizism because I've never played the first one (I've seen it though); I've only played the second. A lot of fans tell me that I should play the first one, then I may like the second a little better, but I don't think that if I play the first game, it would make me like the second game any better. I may understand the storyline a bit more, but it probably won't make me like the second game. And becides, if I wasn't totally in love with the second game, then I probably wouldn't be with the first either.

I don't know, maybe it's because it just isn't my type of game, but I don't think that it's as great as everyone says it is. Hopefully, I haven't offended any Metal Gear Solid fans (actually, I couldn't care less). However, I think that it's a good game to play if you have absolutely no other games to play. But that's just what I think *shrugs*.

I was surprised that Riden wasn't gay though..=Oo=. (I'm kidding! I'm kidding!)
